Base Position Qualifications
Professional degree in Interior Design preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience. Hospitality experience preferred
Proficient in AutoCAD, in-depth knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft office and other graphic programs
Basic experience with rendering software
NCIDQ encouraged
Works well in a collaborative environment
Communicate with clients in a professional manner

Position Responsibilities Include
Responsible for specific parts of a project with parameters set by others
Offers creative solutions and provides innovative, artistic, imaginative thinking and ideas
Adhere to schedules and deadlines
Coordinate and prepare of construction and design drawings for bid, permit, and client review as well as coordinating revisions
Reliable, accurately completes assignments and meets deadlines
Able to follow instructions and take direction from supervisor
Solicits feedback and acts on it; looks to improve self and team
Adjusts to a variety of situations; receptive to new ideas
Adheres to Chipman Design office standards
Adheres to Chipmanā€™s graphic standards
Willing to travel and do surveys as required
Must be able to multitask
Assists in preparation FF&E schedules, plumbing fixture schedules, and finish schedules
Ensure that FF&E and Interior Design specifications meet US, International, and locally required Codes (example: flame spread ratings, non-skid surfaces, and energy codes)
Provide product research to support the design team

Working conditions will be in a standard office environment. Occasional travel may be required for performing non-intrusive building site observation and client meetings where overnight stay may be required.
